Objectives of the Workshop

In order to train future managers set to operate in an environment characterized by volatility and minimal ubiquity, it is imperative for the academia to hone their strategic thinking skills and make industry analysis more contemporary and grounded by incorporating the changes proposed by Porter. To equip B-School faculty to meet this challenge Christ University Institute of Management is organizing a one day National Workshop on Industry Analysis for faculty members teaching Strategic Management.

The workshop will simulate a decision making setting with the B-School faculty being asked to work as a group of Decision Makers, guided by two Professors from IIM Bangalore. To ensure that the workshop offers necessary individual attention the number of participants will be limited to 30 and the slots will be filled in on first come basis after a screening by the organising team.

Objectives

  • Enhance the strategic thinking skills of participants

  • Introduce the pedagogy used in teaching strategic management in top B- Schools in the world

  • Update and introduce the participants to templates used in industry analysis
