Christ University (till June 2008 an affiliated and autonomous college) was founded in 1969 by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). The management institute was established in 1994 and has maintained the rating of an A+ for over three years and is among the top 25 best Business Schools in the country for the past 5 years. This rating was awarded and published by major private media agencies annually.

USHUS 2010 - EQUILIBRIUM

Ushus’10 signifies the dawn of what is yet to come- an inception to novel prospective. This event materializes every youth’s dream - a new beginning as it will manifest the leadership in its new form.


In celebration of our constant pursuit of academic excellence, we have culled out a 2-day fest USHUS, on 19th and 20th of November 2010. USHUS is the annual management fest for business management students from all over India. This phenomenon is an event which celebrates education with a difference – innovation. Every event strives to push the candidate to intellectual limits where ideas are born with conviction. Ushus tries to break the existing norms by incorporating groundbreaking concepts to its detail.


This time we explore a superior stage of existence – “Equilibrium”.


Supported by an ecosystem of complex elements we live in a world created through a collection of visualizations. Visualizations created by drives and motives which are inherent components of life. A representation of what one believes the world should be, but constantly under an influx of the deep dark unknowns and accelerated by rational universal laws primarily subjective to one’s own observation.


Science assumed that everything could be known and eventually predicted. The Universe was ruled by a detailed system of unchanging laws. Cosmos and causality reigned supreme. Until now, with chaos theories and overwhelming evidence, the inevitable outcome of the ordered machine view was the complete winding down of the clock, the end of time in complete entropy.


A whole new scientific view has been born, one much more in accord with an organic view; the common law and philosophies of hope and spirit.


This big picture of realizations has naturally spawned the broad mentality of humanity leading to philosophies, nihilism, and the life nausea of existentialism. A change from the paradigm based on a pursuit of balance.


The free will of the individual in connection with the infinite is now primary. All is not determined, everyone has a chance to decide their own fate. The philosophic implications of chaos are positive and encouraging. The Universe is not a clock, it is a game. Enjoy it!

Rules&Regulations

  • Maximum of 2 teams per institute can participate.
  • Each team should comprise of 9 participants.
  • The participants must carry ID cards and laptops. Dress code: Formal.
  • Accommodation for all outstation teams for two nights only (18th and 19th of Nov).
  • Participation from outstation teams should be confirmed by 14th of November. On the spot Registration for Bangalore Teams.
  • Registration Fee: Outstation Team :INR 3500 per team/Bangalore Team :INR 3000 per team
  • The judges’ decision will be final and binding.
  • Organisers have the right to make changes in the sequence and content of events if necessary.
  • Updates of the events would be available on the website.
  • Participants should report at the venue by 7:45 AM on 19th of November.
